Queer origami workshop
The event is a workshop exploring the art of origami and its application in the queer culture. The workshop capitalizes on the therapeutic advantages of the origami-making process which include development of the fine-motor skills and mental concentration. The paper-folding exercise even though possibly challenging is meant to help release stress, bring about pleasure of the manual exercise and joy of the achievement. The collaborative action of creating an origami model in a group allows to share knowledge and feelings, helps promote cooperation, well-being, and the feeling of belonging.
