Relationships between LGBT+ children and parents in a Chinese family

The screening of video interviews about Chinese gay and lesbian relationships with their parents will be attended by the producer, director, and cameraman. After the screening, they will discuss the topic with the audience.

The videos present real stories of Chinese LGBT+ people living both in China and abroad. They also feature gay and lesbian parents who share their reactions to their children’s coming out and their own journeys to acceptance. Stories of parents and their LGBT+ children’s cohabitation with their partners are also highlighted.

This series of videos has been produced by Trueself, one of China’s largest LGBT+ organizations, that has already helped improve relationships between parents and their LGBT+ children in many Chinese families.

The film has English, Chinese and Czech subtitles. The discussion will continued in English, Chinese and Czech language.
