Pride film screening
In 1984, Britain is ruled by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, known as the Iron Lady. During her tenure, the country is experiencing peak miner unrest. At London’s Gay Pride, a group of activists decides to help miners’ families by organizing a fundraiser. However, the miners’ union hesitates to accept their support, fearing accusations of openly sympathizing with the gay movement. Ignoring this, the activists travel to a small village in Wales to deliver the funds directly to the families. This marks the beginning of an extraordinary story of two different communities forming a surprising partnership.
