Bass & Pride OA 2024

The Wednesday Pride Village program wouldn’t be complete without lively drum and bass DJs, many of whom have ties to the popular Czech festival Let It Roll. This year, you can once again groove to their beats from 6:30 PM until dusk at Pride Village. And if that’s not enough for you, head over to Pride Club on the south side of the island for another round of DJ sets.

This year at Pride Village, enjoy Cherw, Aze, Bifidus Aktif and QZB.

Cherw
In 2013 he got into mixing and hasn’t stopped training since. After a year of dedicated practice, he made his debut in front of live audiences, quickly gaining traction with subsequent gigs. He garnered experience from various clubs nationwide, including Denoche, Storm, and Cross Club, sharing stages with Czech DJs and world-class DJs. His journey has taken him across Central Europe and even to Colombia, where he shared the mix with renowned artists like Zardonic, Neonlight, and June Miller.

In 2016, he co-founded and led the successful crew, DarkSide Records, holding residencies at Prague’s Storm Club for their regular DarkSide Nights. From 2018 to 2019, he served as a booking manager at Empire Recordings before being approached by Spring BassJam festival in 2021 to take on the role of label manager. Each year, he collaborates with international and Czech DnB producers to release compilation albums. Additionally, he organizes special bus parties known as Drum and Bus and oversees booking management.

Since 2016, he has been a regular performer at Let it Roll, the renowned DnB festival.
This 27-year-old enthusiast blends the dark tones of hard neurofunk and deep dancefloor bass, reflecting his personal tastes and passions. In Prague, he frequently hosts DnB parties featuring top local and international talent, and he curates the program for Prague Pride.

Aze
The Teplice native, known for captivating both the domestic and international music scenes with his exceptional talent for melodies and the enchanting atmosphere of his tracks, is gradually making a comeback to the music scene after many years. He has partnered with renowned labels such as Mayan Audio from Britain, Quantum Records, and Czech Let It Roll. Throughout his career, he has not only showcased his talent at Let It Roll but has also left a mark at festivals like Pohoda and Imagination.

Bifidus Aktif
Bifidus Aktif is a household name among DnB enthusiasts, needing no introduction. With decades of experience in the mix, he’s a fixture at Let it Roll, the world’s largest Drum & Bass festival. Expect his sets to deliver melodic, catchy tunes and songs that’ll get everyone on their feet.

QZB
Anyone thirsting for conventional sounds is at the wrong address. QZB roll up Drum’n’Bass anew – precise, focused and with a dynamic that is infectious. Since 2012, they have been putting their heads together and constantly working on the perfection of their recipes. The impressive interim result: sold out club nights, festival appearances all over Europe and releases on the hottest label for visions of the future, Critical Music. This success is no accident. From the very beginning, razor-sharp percussion and unmistakably forward-looking overall aesthetics provided enthusiasm on the dance floors. Hip hop and breaks are just as much a source of inspiration as italo disco or jazz – knowing that reaching new worlds also means breaking with the past. It was hardly to be expected that the hottest name on the scene would one day come from Basel. That’s exactly why you shouldn’t lose sight of the duo’s flight. Borders are not yet in sight.
