In the early 1990s, members of the activist group ACT UP in Paris demand action from the government and pharmaceutical companies to combat the AIDS epidemic. For a decade, AIDS has been ravaging lives, yet activists from ACT UP Paris face public indifference, governmental obtuseness, and pharmaceutical manipulation. Newcomer Nathan meets Sean, a radical in the movement whose political fight is also a fight for his life as he is HIV positive with limited time left. The film, titled to reflect both heart-rate monitoring and the house beat of dance clubs, offers an unconventional look at community members living politics personally.
