Queer art from the Olomouc region
As part of the Prague Pride festival, the art exhibition playfully named Hanácké teplé salón, meaning “a showcase of the queerest art the Haná region has to offer,” returns for its 7th edition.
Just like last year, we present completely new works created by artists from the Olomouc region. Coming together as a creativity-loving family, they regularly meet during Art Afternoons organized by the Ollove initiative.
You can expect to feast your eyes on a diverse array of mediums, from digital art to more traditional forms such as acrylic, ink, watercolor, and pastel. Additionally, some of the artists’ sketchbooks will be available for browsing.
The exhibition will open on August 5, 2024, at 4:00 PM but will be available for viewing throughout the entire Prague Pride festival.
*Note: The original text refers to the art pieces as “teplé,” a reclaimed Czech gay slur meaning “warm.”
