Pride Club: Opening Night powered by Radio Wave

Pride Club is an exciting new space for the Prague Pride Festival that will allow visitors to celebrate and support the queer community even more than before. From Monday to Friday, Střelecký ostrov becomes the hottest place in Prague for those who love great fun and dance music. Pride Club will create a safe and inclusive environment every day, welcoming all people with an open heart who want to experience one of the liveliest and most anticipated events during this year’s Prague Pride Festival. Join us for a celebration full of unforgettable musical moments, free self-expression, joy, love and acceptance at Pride Club at the Prague Pride Festival.

On Monday, we will kick off together with Radio Wave Pride Club DJ set by Tom Aspaul – a British singer, producer and songwriter who delivered one of the most talked about performances of last year’s Prague Pride. The hitmaker, whose own song was covered by Kylie Minogue herself, will be joining us for the second year in a row, because Prague has become as dear to his heart as much as he has grown dear to us as well as to the audience. We are even more excited to have him play his DJ set right after he has successfully completed a world tour of Europe and North America.

In the next three days we will throw parties curated by the promoters of the best Prague queer parties. Pride Club will thus represent the diversity of queer music and will allow its visitors to explore different genres such as house, techno, pop, soul, funk or disco, which will be the main focus of Friday’s Pride Discothèque, which will seamlessly follow after Nora Waacking Inferno earlier in the evening on Střelecký ostrov. LINEUP:

Tom Aspaul is an independent, queer singer/songwriter, who began his career writing hits for artists such as Kylie Minogue, Becky Hill and Celeste, before releasing his debut album Black Country Disco in 2020 to critical acclaim. Proclaimed ‘queer disco album of the year’ by Gay Times, and included on numerous ‘best of 2020’ lists, the album enabled Tom to embark on his first ever tour in 2021. The Revenge Body Tour sold out at every venue and led to festival and pride performances up and down the UK and further afield. 2021’s follow up, Europop-inspired Life In Plastic was equally well received. Planet Fantastic is Aspaul’s most ambitious project yet, with shows across Europe and North America for the first time.

Now based in Berlin, studying at the prestigious Catalyst Institute of Arts and Technology, Terra has been a prominent artist on the European alternative scene ever since her media debut – winning the “Radio Wave Startér contest 2020”. Her music did not escape the attention of media such as Forbes or Full Moon magazine, who called her a “rising star of hyperpop”. Kewu, a member of the first CZ/SK ballroom house “Kiki House of Velvet”, one of the most sought-after DJs in the country, who shared the stage with Tommy Genesis, Conducta, Coucou Chloe, Jimmy Edgar, and Teki Latex during his 13 years of performing, is a true club legend in the making.

Masha Kornieieva aka AXT is from Kropyvnytskyi, Ukraine. She’s a DJ, sound producer, resident of ONYX (Prague), and a co-owner of the Motsion — Ukrainian multidisciplinary formation focusing on audio and visual performances. She started her musical career in 2015 and managed to make a mark at the Kultura Zvuku in Kharkiv, ∄ in Kyiv, Vitamin club in Brno, Ankali and Fuchs2 in Prague, HÖR, etc. AXT mainly plays bass, experimental, and drum’n’bass.

Simone Svatuska, aka Lil Autotune, is a boundary-pushing DJ and multidisciplinary artist known for her explosive style. As a trans femme artist, she shapes her own lane in the club scene and actively contributes to queer nightlife. Alongside her DJ career, Simone is a 3D visual artist and model, and has launched her brand “Attention Whore” to conquer the world with unique performances.
