My Tender Matador film screening
Pragay Collective and Chilean Embassy in the Czech Republic are pleased to present the film “My Tender Matador” (Tengo Miedo Torero), winner of several awards such as the People’s Choice award in the Venice Film Festival, and the Audience Award in the Thessaloniki Film Festival.
The film exposes the life of “La loca del Frente”, who falls in love with Carlos, a guerrilla fighter from the Frente Patriótico Manuel Rodríguez. La Loca, a life-long orphan, finds in Carlos her only family, and together they confront the vicissitudes of the political situation in Chile during Pinochet´s dictatorship. Their bond will be tested when Carlos gets involved in the attempted assassination of Augusto Pinochet.
The film is in Spanish and English.
