Mavi Phoenix

Mavi Phoenix, whose real name is Marlon Nader, is an Austrian singer and rapper. In 2017 and 2018, he was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards. A fan of the DIY approach, he started out in a garage band, but over the years decided to strike out on his own and released his first album My Fault in 2014. Mavi has gradually moved away from the guitar scene, towards a poppier sound, mixing contemporary electronica, trap and hip-hop. Mavi’s style seems to be rejecting all categories. His music videos carry the same message. In Bullet in My Heart (2019) Mavi confronts the anxieties associated with his gender.
