Kermés

The Kermés is a market/fair-style party featuring food, drinks, and games. It is very popular in Mexico and other Latin American countries and is also celebrated in some parts of the United States. Typically held as a Saints’ festival around churches or during official civil celebrations, it offers a wide range of activities for both adults and children, making it essential for family integration.

The main attractions of a Kermés include food and drink stands, a games area with activities like marbles, lottery, fishing, popping balloons with darts, and Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Additionally, there are playful role-playing booths such as a marriage booth (where you can pretend to marry your loved ones), a jail for those who do not respect diversity, and a reading area, among others.

Co-organized by the Embassy of the United States of Mexico.
