Karol Radziszewski: Nobody’s Gonna Know
Join us for the opening of the exhibition by Polish artist Karol Radziszewski, who has long been recording and commemorating the stories of queer people in Central and Eastern Europe. For this exhibition, Radziszewski has created several new audiovisual works and installations drawn from the collections of the Prague-based Society for Queer Memory. The central theme he explores is the concept of hiding and concealment, which does not necessarily represent queer trauma, tragedy, or failure. Radziszewski has selected several stories from queer collections and archives, allowing the audience to declassify and uncover them.
Karol Radziszewski will attend the opening in person, as will Zai Xu, the representative of the SVĚTOVA 1 Gallery. The event will be moderated by Ladislav Jackson, art historian and director of the Society for Queer Memory.
