James Indigo
Alternative scene rising star James Indigo will perform on the main stage for the UK. Drawing on his experiences growing up as a queer man of the global majority, he boldly speaks about intimacy, sex, and emancipation. “Rap music has a hypermasculine and homophobic reputation. People are still not used to openly gay musicians doing rap. I’ve been told that gay rappers ‘can’t do it.’ Even though I would say I’m a rapper who ‘happens to be gay,’ I still refuse to silence my voice for that reason,” he told Attitude UK.
