Kendamil supports the rainbow again

A parent is the one who gives care and love to a child. That is why the British family brand of baby food Kendamil once again became a partner of the Prague Pride 2024 festival. Kendamil has been always committed to helping parents, regardless of age, appearance, gender or orientation, to provide quality nutrition for their children and to make parenting he made it as pleasant as possible.

2021 study that followed lesbian and gay parents showed that the quality of family relationships is more important than the structure of family relationships for optimal child development. Kendamil brand has been open to all forms of parenthood and supports all loving and caring moms and dads, regardless of sexual orientation. That is why Kendamil became a partner of the Prague Pride festival again.

Kendamil is inviting parents and children alike to our stand during the Prague Pride Children’s Day, on Střelecký ostrov on August 6, 2024. Parents can relax here, they can change their children’s diapers, sit down and have refreshments. Games for interesting prizes will be prepared for the children there as well. Within this area, parents can learn a lot of important advice regarding the nutrition of infants and young children.

The road to refuting stereotypes is long, and Kendamil, together with the organizers of the Prague Pride festival, decided to embark on it. We want all children to feel safe and happy in their families. We do not differentiate between heterosexual or gender minority parents. Because everyone can be a loving parent. We also try to communicate this in our campaign, through which the organizers of Prague Pride contacted us in the past,” explains Marie Vacková, brand manager of the Kendamil brand.

As noted by Lenka Bartová, director of Prague Pride fundraising, no attention was paid to rainbow parents in the past when it comes to child nutrition. So if gay parents decided to add to the family through adoption or surrogacy, one of the first things they had to deal with was feeding the child. They mostly got what they should know about formula feeding from friends in the community or through the internet. “By the way, this is also one of the reasons why we are again becoming a partner of the Prague Pride festival, through which we would like to raise the awareness of rainbow parents that we are ready to lend them a helping hand in this area,” explains Marie Vacková.
