The Art of Loving Ourselves

Jinxiao Zhou, is a Chinese student of art who lives in the Netherlands. He wants to use this installation to share his journey of exploring his erotic selves and how he argues, negotiates, and is compassionate with them. He thinks that it’s a process to understand and practice loving ourselves. Each color of the lollipop in the installation comes with a different letter, anybody can exchange them with anyone.

Entrance fee – free

Vibe check – smaller event (up to approx. 30 people), quiet (no loud music, shouting, etc.), requires interacting with the audience or other attendees, seating options, indoors

Host – Wenjun Jin, Chinese, gay, has been living in Prague for 30 years, speaks Czech, English and Chinese

Guest – Jinxiao Zhou, Chinese art student from the Netherlands

Founded last autumn in Hague in the Netherlands, our organization unites Chinese LGBTI+ minorities in the EU. Our members are mostly young Chinese students based in Europe. The mission of the organization is to fight for the rights and freedom of Chinese sexual minorities, to provide a platform where they can come together and self-realize, and to promote a diverse and tolerant society.
