Upcycle with Pride: Screen Printing Workshop

Give your wardrobe a new rainbow life! Stop by the creative screen-printing workshop in Pride Village, where you can print your own clothing or hunt for unique second-hand pieces.
We have prepared exclusive original designs by talented queer artists. Look forward to playful queer history in the style of paper dolls by Andreas (@rejka), joyful and gently provocative aesthetics by Ludmila Linhartová (Sweet & Edgy), mythical creatures with a feminist undertone by Barbora Idesová, and DIY animal motifs by Zuzana Kotrbová.
What awaits you on site?
- Pre-printed tote bags featuring original artist designs
- Limited-edition pre-printed posters with artwork by the participating artists (20 copies from each artist signed by the artist)

⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR OWN TEXTILES
Would you like to bring your own item for printing? To make sure everything turns out great, please follow these guidelines:
- Material: Smooth, single-layer surfaces only (ideally 100% cotton)
- Please do NOT bring: Knitted sweaters, furry fabrics, heavily textured materials, or very stretchy knitwear (the print could crack). It is also not possible to print over seams or zippers.
- Size: The maximum print size is A4 portrait format.
- Aftercare: Printed items must not be tumble-dried, as this would damage the print.
The workshop will be led by:
Gabu Milford – creates screen prints, illustrations, and graphic design. She develops and prints designs that often play with the Czech language and offer a cynical perspective on our bizarre world, where we either fall into dark humour or fly away on rainbow unicorns. She discovered this world at Hollar Secondary School and continued her studies at UMPRUM. May love, aesthetics, cats, and unicorns accompany us all!
Annemarie Havlíčková – primarily works as a graphic designer – she loves creating and designing books and posters. Alongside graphic design, she occasionally illustrates, prints, and works on her small jewellery brand, Anntracit. She continues to follow the same creative path she studied, and like Gabu Milford, she is a “child of Hollar”. After Hollar Secondary School, she studied Interactive Graphics and later Visual Communication at Solent University.
Meet the artists behind the designs:
Ludmila Linhartová (Sweet & Edgy) – a textile designer and illustrator based in Prague. Her work combines bold colours, expressive patterns, symbolism, and a love of diversity, joy, and queer aesthetics. Her visual style blends playfulness and gentle provocation with deeper themes of empathy and respect for difference. Ludmila’s illustrations celebrate the courage to be yourself and use colour as a tool for peaceful dialogue with the world. Through her brand Sweet & Edgy, she presents her designs on textiles, clothing, and digital products, aiming to bring joy, courage, and inspiration into everyday life.
Andreas L. (@rejka) – a trans artist and graphic designer who enjoys working with traditional printmaking techniques, oil and gouache painting, comics, and textile art. His inspirations include queer history, symbolism, and fantasy. His print for Prague Pride Festival is inspired by paper dolls from magazines: from Oscar Wilde’s carnations to Tom of Finland-style leather fashion. How many different elements of queer culture can you recognise?
Barbora Idesová – an independent illustrator originally from the wild eastern Slovak city of Košice and currently based in Prague. She is inspired by nature, sunlight, music, meditation, myths, and adventures with friends. Her drawings often depict various beings from her own imaginary mythology: goddesses, demigods, and mythical forest creatures with ordinary human traits. They appear in strangely familiar dreamlike scenes filled with symbols and decorative elements. Through these characters, she also seeks to create space for discussion about topics that matter to her, including feminism and LGBTQ+ issues. She enjoys working on editorial projects, books, and commercial commissions.

Zuzana Kotrbová – studies Textile Design at UMPRUM. Animals make her happy, whether they are her own or ones she happens to pet by chance. She feels best outdoors, watching flowing water or sitting in moss and becoming part of her surroundings. She collects frottage prints and enjoys DIY aesthetics. She drinks beer in the grass. Sometimes she makes solid perfumes, and sometimes they smell wonderful, while other times they resemble a disaster, like a burning forest. She draws muscular cats, creates intaglio prints on Tetra Pak cartons, enjoys making one-page zines about absolutely anything, and loves combining textures. She is a huge fan of Survivor and enjoys hiking and sleeping outdoors. One day she would like to live in an allotment garden colony and spend her days tending flowerbeds.
