Sniff-and-Mingle: Speedfriending for Dogs and Their Queer Humans

At a time when many people are choosing dogs instead of children, what used to be an ordinary daily walk has become something of a social adventure. Our dogs keep us grounded in the present moment and introduce us to people we might otherwise never meet.

It would hardly be fair to leave our four-legged companions at home during Prague Pride Festival. They deserve celebration, socialising, and a chance to make new friends too. That’s why this rainbow dog walk is dedicated to them — a relaxed gathering in a welcoming environment where both dogs and humans can feel at ease.

Bring your furry companion to Kinský Garden and join fellow queer dog lovers for an afternoon of wagging tails, new connections, and plenty of fun. Let your dog cool off in the fountain, throw a ball, meet new canine friends, and enjoy a safe and welcoming space for people and their beloved pets alike.

No dog? No problem. You’re welcome to join us anyway. There will be plenty of opportunities for petting, cuddles, and games of fetch. Come and enjoy the pure joy that dogs bring into our lives. The world around us may be changing, but the bond between humans and dogs remains as strong as ever. That’s why our rainbow pack is gathering for the third PRague Pride Festival in a row.

We’ll meet by the Summer Palace in Kinský Garden. Leashes will serve as a gentle reminder of the connection between us and our dogs. We don’t see them as a restriction, but as a way of sharing space safely and respectfully. Those who feel comfortable can unclip the leash and let their dogs enjoy the company of other dogs and humans more freely.
