Mezipatra Film Screening: Boylesque

At a time when RuPaul hadn’t even dreamed of being a drag star, the seductive Lulla La Polaca was already breaking one heel after another on Polish stages. Although in the 1970s, the country was in the throes of communism, it didn’t stop the country’s oldest drag queen from enjoying her stardom. And despite turning 80, the charm is still there even today. The flamboyant lipstick and wig lover craves true love and new experiences, and so he dates with gusto. A playful soul full of joy and hope, only his fading body can throw a spanner in the works. Together with Andrzej aka Lulla, we’ll take a trip down the memory lane, pop off to Pride, enjoy a home drag show and, of course, change into dozens of iconic outfits in the process. This funny, subtle yet direct documentary tells the inspiring story of an extraordinary man who has never given up his youthful lifestyle nor his ideals.
