Friends Football Cup

We invite you to our annual football tournament for LGBT+ players – an event that’s not only about the game itself, but also about connection, joy, and meaningful social vibes. The goal of the organizing team is to create a space where LGBT+ people, their friends, and allies can come together, enjoy the thrill of sports, and connect in an inclusive, pressure-free environment. This event proves that sport can bring people together and break down barriers – cultural, linguistic, or otherwise.

The tournament takes place on artificial turf, ensuring high-quality and stable playing conditions no matter the weather. Players can look forward to fun and dynamic matches, played under small-sided football rules – five players on the field and one goalkeeper per team. Each match lasts 20 minutes, which is just enough time to fully enjoy the game while keeping the tournament lively and full of energy. This format supports teamwork, technique, and strategy – all while keeping everyone in top shape.

At its heart, this tournament is all about the experience. It’s not about performance or winning at all costs. The main goal is to have fun and unwind – free from the stress and pressure that usually comes with highly competitive sports events. This inclusive approach ensures that truly everyone can enjoy football – regardless of their skill level or prior experience with the game. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, you’re more than welcome.

Our organizing team will keep you refreshed throughout the day. No need to worry about hunger or thirst sneaking up on you during the matches – a wide selection of drinks and light snacks will be available to keep everyone energized and hydrated. After all, staying nourished is key to enjoying a full day of movement, laughter, and sport.

Anyone with a love for football is welcome to join – regardless of gender, sex, relationship orientation, age, or anything else. Friends and allies of LGBT+ people are warmly invited to be part of this celebration of diversity and mutual support. Friends Cup is also a great opportunity for international teams to join in, share their passion, and connect with Czech players. The event offers a safe and open space for everyone who wants to play, have fun, and meet new people with shared values.
