PRIDE PARK IS LEAVING LETNÁ

Letná is a lost cause. After thirteen years, Pride Park is moving to Štvanice Island. Times are changing!
We’re leaving Letná. We’re moving to Štvanice. And we think it’s great news! The first Pride Park was held in Letenská pláň in 2013. It was a wonderful place, and we had many fabulous Pride parade finales there – so many memories, glitter, sweat, and tears forever pressed into the Letná sand. Farewell!
Letenská pláň came with a lot of production challenges (try building a stage in a desert!) and complications. It wasn’t the most comfortable spot for visitors, and creating a welcoming space there (again, it’s a desert!) was a real struggle. Heat, dust, sand, puddles, mud. And those stairs! The truth is, we’ve been thinking about changing the location for a while.
If there’s anywhere in Prague that’s truly beautiful in the summer, it’s the islands. And Štvanice, in our opinion, is the most beautiful of all. So this year, Pride Park is moving there—to the area behind the tennis courts and skate park, near the HolKa footbridge and Baden Baden.
We believe the comfort Štvanice offers – more trees, grass, cooler shade, the river (summer swimming!), more options for chill-out zones, much better accessibility, and of course instant summer vibes – will be a welcome change for us and, most importantly, FOR YOU. A big thank you to Prague 7 for their support and collaboration.
