The Flag is a week-long collective performance recalling the creation of the first rainbow flag in 1978 as a powerful symbol of LGBT+ pride and emancipation.

The original flag measured 15.24 × 9.14 meters and was created as a collective gesture. In response to today’s rise in extremism and hate, we invite you to reconstruct the flag in its original dimensions – using recycled fabrics and old clothes. This act of collective sewing becomes an expression of queer resistance, solidarity, and intergenerational sharing.

The event takes place from July 28 to August 3 at Kampus Hybernská, where the flag-making process will be accompanied by a program curated by the artist collective Mothers Artlovers in collaboration with other invited collectives.

Entrance fee – voluntary

Accessibility – suitable also for children and teenagers

Vibe check – large capacity event (more than 200 people, high possibility of physical contact), indoors, outdoors
