Mezipatra: Best of Shorts 2024

A selection of the finest short films that blossomed at last year’s Mezipatra! The winning film of the shorts competition Coffee Grapefruit Cacao offers a witty take on alternative ways of building a family – always with love at the core.

With Bunk, we head to the Czech countryside to witness a test of friendship between two teenage boys during a sleepover in an abandoned bunker.

The animated short Fall for Greta tells an unexpected love story with a charming plumber.

Cooper tells us about their transition and gender fluidity in a clever semi-feature documentary, Hello Stranger.

And finally, immerse yourself in the iconic music of Bolero as Fran enchants an entire town with an ecstatic dance – just as the film captivated the Cannes Festival, where it won the Queer Palm award.

All films will be screened with Czech and English subtitles.
