David Branell: Acts of Remaining

Don’t miss Acts of Remaining — a four-act visual exhibition exploring queer presence through memory, resilience, and emotional space. Using a blend of photography and AI-generated imagery, David Branell creates poetic scenes of abandonment, intimacy, and survival. Each act reflects a stage of queer experience: cultural erasure, inner refuge, self-representation, and public presence.
From flooded theaters to blooming suitcases and intimate portraits across generations, the exhibition offers a deeply personal yet universally resonant journey. The final act zooms out to minimalist aerial views — reminding us that even when reduced to abstract form, queer people remain present in the landscape.
Aligned with Prague Pride 2025’s theme, “Where is my home?”, this exhibition answers not with geography, but with gesture. Remaining — softly, powerfully, and visibly — becomes a radical act of belonging.
