P*ride: Rainbow Echoes of P*fest
The first edition of P*fest, Prague’s festival of alternative pornography, proved that porn can be playful, political, authentic—and above all, respectful. Respectful not only of different sexual orientations, but of the many ways sexuality can be expressed. Queer identities are often reduced to sex, while representations of sex are frequently shaped by stereotypes and misconceptions. The content found on mainstream porn platforms rarely reflects the realities, desires, or fantasies of everyday life.
This summer edition of P*fest brings back audience favourites from the sold-out programmes Starter Kit, Pornagenda, and Kinky Joy—films celebrating a rich diversity of bodies, desires, and artistic perspectives. Come and discover for yourself that pornography can be more colourful, more playful, and more honest than you might expect.
Post-screening discussion
Anna Krejčířová – studied Film Studies at Charles University. She works as a film curator, occasionally translates films, and writes about cinema. She is one of the programme curators of the Festival of Extreme Cinema (Festival otrlého diváka) and co-founded both the feminist screening series Girl Power at Bio Oko and the Czech Republic’s first festival of alternative pornography, P*fest.
Dorota Vašíčková – an audiovisual theorist and film writer specialising in pornography. Her work focuses on online formats and internet subcultures. She organises film festivals and, together with Anna and Zuzana, co-founded P*fest, the Czech Republic’s first festival dedicated to independent porn.
Zuzana Černá – studied Film Studies at Charles University and has long worked in festival programming. She co-organises the feminist screening series Girl Power at Bio Oko and is also a co-founder of P*fest, the Czech Republic’s first festival of independent porn.
