Queer DJ Workshop

This DJ workshop for emerging queer artists offers an inclusive and supportive space for anyone interested in DJing and electronic music. Opportunities like this are still rare in Prague, making the workshop especially valuable and unique within the city’s cultural landscape. Its aim is not only to share practical DJ skills and build confidence in artistic self-expression, but also to empower young queer people and strengthen their position within Prague’s cultural scene.

The workshop also offers a chance to meet inspiring role models from a country with stronger LGBTQ+ rights and a more open social climate. Participants will discover how queer artists can actively create safer, more visible, and more confident cultural spaces. The workshop expands on the Belgian programme featuring two Brussels-based DJs, taking place in Pride Village on Wednesday evening, and contributes to the growth of a more diverse and vibrant queer cultural scene in Prague.

The workshop will be held in English.

The event takes place in Zámek Veleslavín, in Prague 6, next to the metro and tram station Nádraží Veleslavín, a few minutes from the city center

This project is financially supported by the Prague 6 Municipal District and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium, which has also kindly partnered with us in organising the event.

Workshop will be lectured by
Azo is one of the wildest girls around, a driving force behind Brussels parties such as Queer Future Club and a resident at Kiosk Radio. Half French and half Brazilian, she creates a powerful contemporary blend of acid, techno, and trance inspired by British rave culture and the era of Detroit techno. Her boundless “power of love” takes audiences on an unforgettable musical journey. Azo is a producer, keyboardist, DJ, and sound engineer.

Hysope is a Brussels-based performance artist who composes music for theatre and combines a love of experimentation with a touch of nostalgia. Their sound draws deeply on the warm, atmospheric synthesizers of the 1980s. This passion for music naturally led them to DJing, where their energetic sets blend Latin-influenced rhythms, breaks, and hardgroove. Refusing to be confined by genres, Hysope loves experimenting with different styles—as long as the groove never disappears.
