Mezipatra: Sebastian

If you want something, you have to give something up. Ambitious and charming Max knows this all too well. Determined to break through as a young writer in London, he’s willing to do whatever it takes—even live a double life by turning his fictional character Sebastian into a personal alter ego. Driven by the “write what you know” principle, Max dives headfirst into the world of erotic hook-up apps, collecting stories for his novel through lived experience. The distinguished academic soon morphs into a seductive companion at wild orgies. But how long can he maintain this role-switching act? And what happens when the boundaries between reality and fiction start to crumble like a house of cards?

Sebastian was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
