”Where is my home” – Collective Wall
The community art installation titled “Where Is My Home?” is hosted by the Pride Café festival venue at Dorado Coffee. We invite all visitors to join in the creative process – not only on the wall at Pride Café (Dorado Kinský), but also at two walls in the second Dorado Coffee location in Betlémská. Come and respond to the question “Where is my home?” in your own original, heartfelt, and fabulous way.
To spark reflection and inspiration, a list of guiding questions will be available:
- Who or what makes you feel safe?
- What does your dream home look like?
- Is your body your home?
- Have you ever had to leave your home?
- Can a person be a home?
- Where did you first feel truly like yourself?
- What smells, sounds, or objects remind you of home?
- What does it mean to feel at home in your queer identity?
- What from your culture feels like home?
- Can home be something we create together?
Colorful spray paints, markers, brushes, stickers, paints, glitter, and other art supplies will be available for everyone to freely express their thoughts—through words, drawings, collages, or color. The walls will remain open and accessible throughout the week, transforming into a living archive of emotions, thoughts, resistance, and hope.
Together, we’re creating a space where we ask not only “Where is my home?” but also proudly answer: “Right here.”
