The Prague Pride Festival strives to be as open and accessible as possible for everyone\u2014without exception. That\u2019s our vision, and while it\u2019s easier said than done, we\u2019re doing our best to make it a reality.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\n \n

We do encounter limitations\u2014such as historic buildings that are not barrier-free, the financial cost of translations, or staffing constraints for the services we\u2019d like to provide. Still, accessibility remains a constant priority.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\n \n

We\u2019ve updated our festival website to be accessible for people with visual impairments. Screen readers can now read our articles and the full festival program.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Most festival venues are accessible for people with limited mobility.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Pride Caf\u00e9<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n
\n \n

Dorado Kinsk\u00fd Caf\u00e9 is fully wheelchair accessible, including a barrier-free toilet. There are a few steps from the caf\u00e9 to the terrace, but there is an alternative, fully accessible entrance. The staff will gladly assist you.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Pride Cinema<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n
\n \n

Both the caf\u00e9 and cinema spaces at Edison Filmhub are wheelchair accessible. Use the side entrance from Jeruzal\u00e9msk\u00e1 Street. A barrier-free toilet is available. For detailed info, visit presbariery.cz<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Pride Gallery<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Langhans \u2013 People in Need Center is partially accessible. Wheelchair users can access the ground floor, and a barrier-free toilet is available (key at the reception). More info at presbariery.cz<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Pride House<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The French Institute has an elevator and accessible toilets.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Pride Parade<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The route starts at Wenceslas Square and continues through Na P\u0159\u00edkop\u011b, Celetn\u00e1, Old Town Square, Pa\u0159\u00ed\u017esk\u00e1, over \u010cech\u016fv Bridge, and up the stairs to Letn\u00e1 Park and Pride Park. It’s about 3 km, much of it paved with granite cobblestones. It’s doable in a wheelchair, but assistance is recommended.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

After \u010cech\u016fv Bridge, a low-floor tram with AC and a wheelchair lift will be waiting to transport participants with limited mobility to Pride Park Letn\u00e1 (usually Korunova\u010dn\u00ed\/Sparta stop). The tram will not stop anywhere else en route\u2014no boarding or exiting during the ride.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Pride Park<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The area at Letn\u00e1 is wheelchair, stroller, and crutch-friendly. Surfaces include asphalt paths, lawn, and compacted sand. A barrier-free toilet will be available near the Volunteer Zone, with the key available upon request. In front of the main Red Stage, there will be an elevated platform on the right-hand side for wheelchair users to enjoy the performances. Enjoy a great view of the performing artists!<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Pride Village<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

St\u0159eleck\u00fd Island is wheelchair accessible via elevator. Accessible toilets are located in the bridge pillar (for a small fee) or portable toilets (free).<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Unfortunately, the historic building of the Scout Institute \u2013 Ryb\u00e1rna is not wheelchair accessible.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

We\u2019re also thinking about the mental well-being of our participants and sensory sensitivities. Both Pride Village and Pride Park will feature Pride HideOUT powered by Sephora<\/strong>\u2014a sanctuary from the overstimulation of the festival. It’s a peaceful zone with soft cushions, quiet, and earplugs, where you can relax and step away from the noise. Crisis support professionals will be available to talk.
